7-9.08.2014

7.8.2014 Ma mere l'oye
The evening is based around “Mother Goose”, the impressionist piano suite for 4 hands, by Maurice Ravel. The movements of the piece are inspired by different fairy tales, in between which you will hear a selection of complementary music including: “Contrasts” by Bela Bartok, “Fantasias” by Henry Purcell and “Serenade” by Ernst von Dohnanyi. The concert will also feature “Matthewmatics” by Heinz Holliger and “Niggun” by Philippe Hersant, two works being performed in Bulgaria for the first time.
The atmosphere of the event will be enhanced by the narration of Bulgarian actor, Kamen Marin, together with the ambient lighting of Nikolai Tabakov’s hand-made lamps.
Nikolai will be holding a workshop on the same day where he can teach you how to make your own lamp in just a few hours. The newly made lamps will be displayed as decoration for the concert before you can enjoy them in your home. For more information click here.
