Svetlana Berova
Svetlana Berova began her viola studies at the National School of Music "L. Pipkov" in her home town Sofia. In 2006 she continued her music education in Germany at the "Folkwang Universität der Künste Essen" under Emile Cantor. After graduating in 2012, she undertook a master's degree in orchestral performance at the "Orchesterzentrum Dortmund".
Svetlana has won prizes from many competitions, such as "The Music of Austria and Germany International Competition " , "Svetoslav Obretenov", Provadia and "Concertino Prague".
An experienced chamber musician and orchestral player, she has worked with the "Sofia New Symphonic Orchestra" and the "Piacere Quintet" and since 2006 in many German ensembles in Essen, Dusseldorf, Cologne, etc.
In May 2013 Svetlana won a scholarship from the "Aachenner Symphoniker", which allows her to work with the orchestra for one season.
