Ricardo Gregianin
Ricardo Gregianin was born in 1984 in Villa Maria, Brasil. In his early years he started to explore the brazilian traditional folk dance. In 2004 he began to study contemporary dance with Berê Fuhro Souto in Pelotas and later worked with "Grupo Experimental da Cidade de Porto Alegre".
In 2007 Rico moved to Essen, Germany where he continued his education at Folkwang Universität der Künste. There he got the oportunity to work with the dancers from the Pina Bausch Theater Wuppertal and collaborated with artists such as Juan Kruz, Stefan Brinckmann (Germany), Josep Caballero Garcia (Spain/Germany) and Marisa C. Hayes (USA/France).
In 2011 Rico created a solo piece "Camaleão kaputt" which he performed at "Junge Choreographen" in Essen and danced in the pieces "You call me crazy cause I laugh when I should cry" by Pablo Harari (Argentina), "is not blue" by Johannes Wieland (Germany/USA) and "Symfonia" by Mark Sieczkarek (UK/DE). He was artistic assistent for the piece "nessuno lo sa" by Fernando Suels Mendoza (Venezuela/Germany) performed at Ancona Dance Festival in Italy.
In 2012 Rico took part in the pieces "The Fool" by Mark Sieczkarek, "Deep Breath - Licht Trilogie" by Kristóf Szabó (Hungary/Germany) and "Prometheus" by Lemi Ponifasio (New Zealand). In the same year he got the opurtunity to perform at the São Paulo Fashion Film Festival with the piece by the brasilian company Cavallaria Cênicas "still to motion" and "a origem animal de deus".
Currently Rico is living in Sao Paulo and is actively participating in variety of alternative and contemporary art projects.
